Job summary
The
Gardens Surgeryis a high-achieving PMS practice serving
a patient population of 6,300. Due to the upcoming retirement of one of our
longstanding GPs, we are looking to appoint an enthusiastic Salaried GP for 3-4
sessions per week. Sessions will include Wednesday mornings and afternoons
(negotiable), as well as Friday mornings and afternoons. The position is
anticipated to commence in January or February 2026.

Main duties of the job
The suitable candidate should feel comfortable working
independently as well as alongside our multi-disciplinary medical team. The
role will include pro-rata involvement with the duty doctor triage rota.
We expect our team to always act within your professional
boundaries, providing appropriate care for patients from initial history
taking, clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment and evaluation of care. You
will demonstrate safe, clinical decision-making and expert care, including
assessment and diagnostic skills, for patients within the general practice. The
ideal candidate will demonstrate critical thinking in the clinical
decision-making process.
You will possess the necessary skills, knowledge and
behaviour by promoting and protecting the interests of service users and
carers, communicating appropriately and effectively, working within the limits
of your knowledge and skills, refer & delegate appropriately, respect
confidentiality, manage risk, report concerns about safety, be honest and
trustworthy and keep records of your work.

the New Year, we will also be training future GPs as an accredited training
practice.
Experience with EMIS Web and Docman 10 is beneficial, and
handling regular on-calls is a requirement. Our clinical staff includes
Pharmacists, ANPs, and a skilled nursing team. As part of the revised Dulwich
Neighbourhood PCN, we work collaboratively to maximise resources, funding, and
satisfaction for both staff and patients.
