Job summary
Salary: £510 to 600 a day (rate inclusive of pension)
Sessions: 4 to 6 sessions per week
Contract type: Fixed term 12 months (maternity cover)
Location: Burney Street Practice
We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed GP to join
our team on 12-month fixed term basis, covering a period of maternity leave.
The post would suit a GP looking for a short-term role in a high-quality
training practice.
Main duties of the job
Conducting booked appointments mix of telephone and
face to face appointments.
Acting on blood results, issuing electronic
prescriptions (EPS), and managing patient queries from patients and other
healthcare professionals.
Completing associated administration, including
referrals, investigations, and results management with strong administrative
team support
Contributing to quality improvement, clinical
governance, and QoF achievement
Attending clinical meetings and relevant audits
Home visits only on request
Reviewing and adhering to practice protocols and
policies at all times
About us
Burney Street Practice is a GP-led, patient-centred PMS
practice with approximately 15,000 registered patients, using the EMIS Web
clinical system. We are a recognised training practice with a strong emphasis
on clinical excellence, innovation, and a friendly, welcoming environment for
both patients and staff.
Our clinical team comprises 4 GP Partners, 7 Salaried GPs, a
nursing team, and a range of ARRS roles, supported by a dedicated and diverse
administrative team. We operate across two sites, Burney Street Practice, SE10
8EX, and Wallace Health Centre (SE8 3BX).
