White House
Farm Medical Centre currently has a vacancy for an enthusiastic, motivated
salaried GP for 6 to 8 sessions per week Monday to Friday, however Friday is required to be part of the working week, starting with us as soon as
possible.
We require
someone who is committed to providing high standards of care and who will
contribute to the development of the practice.
This would
be an ideal opportunity for a newly qualified GP who would be joining a
supportive team in a practice with excellent facilities and opportunities for
personal development.
You would
join our MDDUS group indemnity cover, which is paid for by the practice.
Main duties of the job
Your working
day will consist of face-to-face appointments, telephone appointments, video
Consultations, home visits and administration work, Sick notes, Lab Results,
prescriptions referrals etc. When required, assist with the weekly Ward Round
of our Care Homes.
You would be
included in the Duty Doctor rota.
You would be
involved in achieving QOF.
An interest
in Minor surgery would be beneficial but not essential.
About us
We are a
friendly GP practice located in the village of Armthorpe, Doncaster, serving a patient
list of 6120 patients.
We are part
of the Doncaster East PCN.
Our team
consists of two GP partners, and an ANP with 4 Practice Nurses and a HCA
supporting the services we offer. We also have receptionists, admin staff, a
Practice Manager, and an Assistant Practice Manager.
We are a
training practice with medical students, GP registrars and PA students.
We also have
other staff working within our team via our PCN.
We use
SystmOne Clinical System.

The post holder will report to
the Partners (clinically) and the Practice Manager (administratively).
The
following are the core responsibilities of the salaried GP.
There may be, on
occasion, a requirement to carry out other tasks; this will be dependent upon
factors such as workload and staffing levels:
- The delivery of highly effective
medical care to the entitled population
- The provision of services
commensurate with our core contract
- Generic prescribing adhering to
local and national guidance
- Effective management of
long-term conditions
- Processing of administration in
a timely manner, including referrals, repeat prescription requests and other
associated administrative tasks
- On a rotational basis, undertake
the duty doctor role
- Maintain accurate clinical
records in conjunction with good practice, policy and guidance
- Work collaboratively, accepting
an equal share of the practice workload
- Adhere to best practice
recommended through clinical guidelines and the audit process
- Contribute to the successful
implementation of continuous improvement and quality initiatives within the
practice
- Attend and contribute
effectively to practice meetings as required
- Ensure compliance with the
appraisal process
- Prepare and complete the
revalidation process
- Commit to self-learning and
instil an ethos of continuing professional development across the practice team
- Support the partners in
achieving the strategic aims of the practice, making recommendations to enhance
income and reduce expenditure
- Review and always adhere to
practice protocols and policies.
