Hastings & Rother Healthcare are currently looking for a full-time Triage Coordinator to join our dynamic and evolving organisation. Previous experience working within a General Practice is essential.

Main duties of the job

To be responsible for supporting the clinicians in managing the triage process. Respond to clinician direction, offer patient feedback and advice as instructed. Undertaking a wide range of secretarial and administrative duties and the provision of administrative support to the multidisciplinary team. Duties can include but are not limited to, the processing of information (electronic and hard copy) in a timely manner, liaising with multidisciplinary team members and external agencies such as secondary care and community service providers and in accordance with current policies. To support the Triage and Reception Manager; undertake tasks as directed; coordinate and delegate tasks to administrators; deputise in the absence of the manager, in addition to undertaking some leadership duties such as: managing staff sickness, supervision, induction, training and performance as directed.

Essential

  • Minimum requirement of GCSEs A-D including a C in English or equivalent or demonstrable experience in a similar General Practice role.

Experience

Essential

  • Experience of using EMIS Web and AccuRx
  • Experience of General Practice Reception
  • Experience of clinical coding

Desirable

  • Processing of SARs and Private Medical Requests

Knowledge and Skills

Essential

  • Knowledge of general office procedures and administration
  • IT literacy including excellent proficiency in word processing, excel and data entry.
  • Good organisational skills.
  • Show a capacity to work alone and the ability to keep calm under pressure.
  • Be proactive and able to use own initiative to complete tasks and projects.
