Main duties of the job
As our Reception Manager, youll play a key role in ensuring our front-of-house services run smoothly and efficiently. You will:
- Lead, manage, and inspire a dedicated Reception team
- Oversee day-to-day operations to ensure timely and high-quality service delivery
- Manage staff performance, sickness, and rotas to maintain service excellence
- Ensure the team meets key performance indicators (KPIs)
- Champion exceptional patient service and promote positive team relationships
- Collaborate closely with the Patient Services and Senior Management Teams to support wider operational needs across the organisation

As Reception Manager, you will play a vital role in leading and overseeing the day-to-day operations of our Reception team. You will be responsible for the effective management, supervision, and leadership of the team, ensuring that all duties are carried out efficiently and to a high standard. This includes managing staff performance, handling sickness absence, and ensuring appropriate rota coverage to maintain consistent service levels. You will be expected to drive the team to meet key performance indicators and practice targets, while promoting a culture of outstanding patient service and strong team collaboration.
In addition, you will work closely with our Patient Services and Senior Management teams to support the broader patient services function across the organisation. A collaborative approach and the ability to work effectively as part of a team are essential.
Youll have a solid understanding of general office procedures and must be able to respond professionally to requests for assistance, always maintaining confidentiality. The role requires someone who is resilient and calm under pressure, with the ability to organise and prioritise their workload effectively. We value individuals who are proactive, resourceful, and able to use their initiative to see tasks and projects through to completion.
