Main duties of the job

To provide and maintain a high standard of nursing care for patients, as well as providing nursing assistance to the doctors and other members of the primary healthcare team. Assist in and perform routine tasks related to patient care as directed by senior nursing staff and GPs. The duties will include all tasks normally undertaken by a practice nurse and in addition any task deemed to be appropriate.

If you have a special interest in a clinical area or long term condition we will endeavour to support your learning with this.

This role is also aimed at NMC registered nurses working in any speciality; Candidates will be offered the opportunity to undertake the Introduction to Practice Nursing course at Brighton University

Newly appointed nurses will be supported in the role and supervised (where appropriate) in providing daily nursing care for patients; as well as providing nursing assistance to the doctors and other members of the primary healthcare team.
