Job Summary:

As a key member of the Learning and Development (L&D) Team, you will be supporting the design, development and delivery of all learning and development initiatives across Birmingham and Solihull.

You will partner with the wider Training Hub team to identify development areas and draw upon your knowledge and professional experience to find innovative ways to meet their needs.

Main duties of the job

Key Responsibilities:

The post holder will be employed by South Doc Services but working within the BSol Training Hub to deliver responsibilities as listed:

Support with developing the communication and engagement plan, setting and meeting targets. This will also include content creation and management, promoting communication strategies within the TH team and reviewing comms plan along with the learning and development team and Training Hub management team.

Liaise with key stakeholders ensuring that information regarding various TH initiatives and projects are communicated effectively

Develop effective working relationships with key stakeholders and attending meetings where identified on behalf of the L&D team

Work with the learning and development team and stakeholders to identify training needs and development gaps both within the Training Hub Team/SDS and all BSol Practices/Primary Care Networks

Work closely with the L&D team to design resources for L&D functions

Be one of the main point of contact for learners (clinical and non-clinical) and key stakeholders to address learning and development queries, respond to queries and support with managing the main Training Hub email account

Support with developing learning and development tools for the Training Hub team and stakeholders

About us

The role will be required for 37.5 hours per week, working Monday to Friday 9 - 5pm.

This role is on a fixed term contract to end on 31 March 2026 (review of funding streams to be looked at after)

This role is a hybrid role and will require working at West Heath, working from home and travel throughout Birmingham and Solihull area.

Support with the evaluation and analysis of training delivered, learning outcomes of education programmes.

Support in data collection and inputting

Prepare and develop a range of resources to support learning

Support the Business Manager with ensuring the maximum use of the Learning Management System (Moodle), adding events and sessions and managing the daily tasks

Support with reporting and collating data and information for KPIs and monthly highlight reports

Support the wider Training Hub Team with maintaining and updating the reporting systems and updating mailing lists and contact details

Support the Business Manager with funding allocation and following processes for creating spending plans

Source suitable equipment and resources required for learning and development activities with direction from the Training Hub management team

Facilitate and provide support on learning and development initiatives and projects, which includes but is not limited to; apprenticeship development and delivery, careers events, widening participation and work experience, provide reports on projects and performance indicators

Supporting the learning and development team with communication activities. Assisting with database management, diary management, minute keeping and meeting arrangements.

Support with updating the Training Hub website, social media channels and other communication platforms.

Assisting in the development and preparation of printed and digital resources for the Training Hub.

To help identify new areas, opportunities and methods of communications with internal and external audiences

Supporting with responding to queries received from practice staff, other stakeholders and the Training Hub Team

Supporting with managing the training calendar to ensure that training provided is relevant, evenly spaced throughout the year and up to date with training priorities
