Job summary

Whitefield Healthcare is looking for a Reception Supervisor for its busy GP Practice. This position is full time 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday between the hours of 08.00am and 6.30pm

The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, hardworking, organised, self-motivated, excellent communicator

Main duties of the job

The role will be a patient facing role and the post holder will assist the Practice Manager in a full range of patient activities within the practice. The post holder will be required to offer front line support with all patient queries. Strong customer service skills will be required with the ability to adapt to a busy NHS setting

The successful candidate must be able to work on their own initiative and have some supervisory experience, along with IT skills. You must be organised and confident, have a friendly and approachable manner and can work under pressure.

Job responsibilities

Job Summary:

Provide support to the Practice Manager.

Provide support and leadership to the reception team ensuring full coverage at all times.

Liaise and ensure good communication with all the Clinical team.

Provide support to the Clinical team in the delivery of excellent clinical care.

Assist the Practice Manager with recruitmentOrganise and support new team member training.

Assess the effectiveness of processes and procedures and report back to the Practice Manager and where relevant the Clinical Lead.

Answer team members questions and help with problems.

Admin tasks such as rotas, filing, ordering supplies, inputting appointment templates onto the system, typing up minutes, referrals, produce reports and letters, record-keeping, and other general office tasks.

Health and Safety ensuring we are compliant with all policies and keeping track of training and documents for all staff.

GDPR/Data protection ensuring we are compliant, and record-keeping is up to date.

Frequent troubleshooting on IT issues, and log with IT support desk where you are unable to resolve the issue.

Collate paperwork for new joiners and organise IT set up.

Listen to team members feedback and resolve any issues or conflicts.
