Job summary
We are seeking a dedicated and
organised individual to join our team as a Patient Navigator at our busy
doctors surgery, in the heart of Islington. As the first point of contact for
patients, the successful candidate will play a crucial role in providing
excellent customer service and ensuring the smooth operation of the reception
area. We are looking for either a full time, or part time person to join our team.
Main duties of the job
Responsibilities include but are
not limited to:
Greet and assist patients in a
friendly and professional manner.
Schedule and manage
appointments, ensuring efficient use of the doctors time.
Answer phone calls, respond to
inquiries, and direct calls to the appropriate staff members.
Maintain patient records and
update information as needed, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
Verify and collect patient
insurance information and process payments.
Coordinate with medical staff to
handle patient inquiries, prescription requests, and other administrative
tasks.
Manage the waiting area to
ensure a comfortable and organised environment for patients.
Handle incoming and outgoing
mail and other administrative duties as required.
Stay informed about clinic
policies, procedures, and services to provide accurate information to patients.
Collaborate with colleagues to
ensure a cohesive and efficient workflow in the reception area.

We are a large practice with over 12,000 registered patients, based close to Islington Green in the busy Angel area. We are made up of GP's, Nurses, Nursing Associates, Healthcare Assistants, Pharmacists, Reception, Admin and Managers. We are a friendly and hardworking team with a good record of staff retention. We have great clincians who provide patients with great care and we are very proud of our team.
