Job summary

We are looking for an HCA to join our friendly practice on a permanent basis. You will work as part of the Kings Medical team- made up of two GP partners, a Two Practice Nurses, two Health Care Assistants and Administerial Staff. We are a medical training practice and you will also work alongside Registrars and FY2 Doctors and medical students.

Main duties of the job

HCA job is to deliver basic patient care recover, monitoring conditions of patients, screening and health prevention activities. A HCA works collaboratively with general practitioners to provide assessment, treatment, education, and care to all kinds of patients, ranging from infants to elderly people.

  • Assessing and providing care to patients with uncomplicated wounds.
  • Taking urine and blood samples
  • Performing routine procedures like ear syringing, treating wounds, and applying or removing dressings.
  • Providing advice or offering specialist information in areas like blood pressure, heart conditions, giving up smoking, weight control.
  • Administering injections.
  • Restocking and maintaining consulting and clinical areas.
  • Taking accurate and comprehensible notes regarding patients consultations and treatments.
  • Updating details about patients and their treatments in the clinical computer system.
