Job summary

We have a vacancy for a 7 session salaried GP. The Salaried GP is responsible for providing medical care and services to the practice population, managing a clinical caseload and dealing with a diverse range of patient health needs. Job plan available on request.

Main duties of the job

Process medical reports, referrals and correspondence

Record and collect data for audit purposes Make timely, clear, computer-based records of consultations and contact with patients

Maintain administrative records relating to the practice contract, enhanced services and QOF Contribute to providing a supportive environment for other staff through informal catch-ups and contact Attend and contribute to in-house meetings, including clinical, educational/training-related and administrative meetings

Attend meetings and events held by external agencies and stakeholders

Contribute to teaching and training clinical staff as appropriate

The Albion Surgery is located in the heart of Bexleyheath and has a list size of 15,000 patients. We are an extremely friendly, forward-thinking practice with a focus on empowering all staff to maximise their potential and deliver the highest level of care to our patients. Examples of this include supporting salaried GPs to develop skills such as joint injections and providing long acting reversible contraception and becoming educational supervisors. Salaried GPs are also supported in developing their leadership skills and are encouraged to take on leadership roles within the practice. Each salaried GP is given an annual study budget of £250 to support CPD.
