Job summary
Dawley Medical Practice are looking to recruit two Part-time Medical Receptionists 16hours and 20hours to join our friendly team looking after our 10,800 patients. We are looking for someone to work a regular afternoon shift pattern and be flexible to cover absences when needed. The role will include all reception patient tasks, answering telephones, sign posting, booking in patients, as well as meeting and greeting Patients and visitors at the reception desk. Previous customer service experience is essential, as is attention to detail, strong literacy, numeracy and IT skills. Full comprehensive training is provided for this role
Main duties of the job
We
are looking to recruit two enthusiastic, friendly and reliable medical
receptionists to join The Dawley Family.
The post holder will greet patients on entry to the practice and on the telephone and
provide a point of communication between patients, doctors and other medical
staff.
Duties will
involve:
Dealing with all patient/visitor enquiries
Using appointment systems to book appointments and
recalls
Explaining practice arrangements to new and temporary
patients
Receiving and making telephone calls, taking messages
as required
Ensuring consulting rooms and waiting areas are
prepared and kept tidy each day
Maintaining strict confidentiality at all times

located in Dawley, which is part of Telford in the county of Shropshire.
Telford is a new town, some 15 miles from the market town of Shrewsbury and 35
miles from Birmingham. Telford has good
rail and road connections, with the motorway providing good access to all parts
of the Midlands and the country.
