Locum Advanced Nurse Practitioner

Job summary

We are seeking an experienced Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP) to join our Acute Respiratory Infection (ARI) Hub based at Cleveland Surgery, Gainsborough. This is a 4-month fixed-term role, working flexibly between 48 hours per day, Monday to Friday.

You will provide same-day, face-to-face appointments for patients presenting with acute respiratory symptoms such as cough, fever, and breathing difficulties. Working collaboratively within a supportive multidisciplinary team, you will help deliver high-quality, patient-centred care while reducing pressure on urgent and emergency services.

Main duties of the job

  • Assess, diagnose, and manage patients with acute respiratory infections.

  • Prescribe and administer appropriate treatments in line with clinical guidelines.

  • Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to deliver coordinated care.

  • Provide patient education and promote preventive health measures.

  • Maintain accurate patient records and comply with clinical governance standards.

  • Qualified Advanced Nurse Practitioner/ Advanced Clinical Practitioner or Paramedic.
  • Independent prescriber qualification

  • Experience in assessment and management of respiratory conditions.
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a team.
  • Effective communication and clinical assessment skills.
  • Previous experience in primary care or acute care settings.
