Job summary

Greenbank Road Surgery is looking to recruit an experienced and enthusiastic Part time Health Care Assistant. This is a new role to the practice for two days per week, 16-20 hours. The days will be discussed at interview.

Main duties of the job

The role will involve the usual mix of HCA duties working alongside 3 partners, 3 salaried GPs, 1 retainer GP, 1 full time and 1 part time Practice Nurse.

About us

Greenbank Road Surgery is situated in the south end of Liverpool, and is a well established and popular practice in the area. We have a population of 6,500 patients and receive good feedback from our patients for the services we provide. We are looking to recruit a HCA to join our supportive and friendly team of staff and GPs to further enhance patient care.

The role will include the usual mix of HCA duties but we are particularly interested in individuals who are keen to develop interests in chronic disease management of patients with long term conditions.

Duties include:

NHS health checks

Hypertension reviews

Phlebotomy

Blood Pressure

Urine analysis

Ordering vaccines and clinical supplies

Restocking and checking dates of supplies in GP rooms.

  • Care certificate/ NVQ Level 2 in health and social care
  • Ability to communicate both written and Oral.
  • Computer literate.
  • Previous experience working in the NHS.

Desirable

  • Experience in GP surgery or healthcare setting.
  • Experience of Emis Web.

  • Experience of working in the NHS preferably a GP Surgery.

  • Good oral and communication skills.
