Job summary
Emsworth Medical Practice is
seeking an enthusiastic, caring doctor to join us as a locum GP for 9 months to
cover maternity leave from mid-April 2024. This would be for 6 sessions
per week preferably over 3 days. This post is to include a registered
list of patients bringing the benefits and job satisfaction of continuity of
care.

About us
We are a long established, friendly
training Practice in Emsworth, Hampshire. We comprise of 8 GP Partners, three
salaried GPs, two GP Registrars, two prescribing Nurse Practitioners and a full
nursing team. We
frequently have F2 doctors and final year medical students.
We
currently operate from two sites, our new state of the art main surgery in
Emsworth and a smaller, recently refurbished branch surgery in Westbourne.
We
form a part of the Hayling Island and Emsworth Primary Care Network which
employs a pharmacy team, physios, social prescribers and care coordinators.

Job responsibilities
The duties of the post are to provide a full range of general medical services as contained in the accordance with the associated job plan.
The post holder is expected to support the partners in providing all services outlined in the GMS contract and also in the aims and objectives of the practice.
You will be expected to support and input into the aims of the practice in areas of clinical governance, good practice, QOF, Enhanced Services, Practice Audit, referral review and any other improvement areas as determined by the practice.
You will be encouraged to utilise and develop any skills for improvement of services to patients.
You are expected to maintain and keep good standards of good clinical records at all times.
Full involvement in any practice training and on-going requirements.
You are expected to maintain and keep good standards of paperwork.
You will be required to attend and participate in Practice Meetings.
Practitioners will be required to comply with the requirement of NHS Appraisal and re validation as may from time to time apply.
