Job summary

Salaried GP 6 sessions with share of on call duties to start as soon as possible (Ideally May 2025)

Salary competitive depending on experience

Expanding list size and likely future staff changes mean we are looking for an enthusiastic team playing GP to start ASAP. We need a 6 session (1 day on call) doctor. The sessions would be in core hours only. We are very supportive and mentor support for newly qualified GPs is available if needed.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and have a dedication to patient care. Involvement with GP training is encouraged as well as personal development and special interests within primary care.

We have an exceptionally stable GP team and our ethos is practising up to date quality family medicine and value quality and continuity. We have a very organised admin and nursing team, and are a high achieving practice with very high patient satisfaction and CQC outstanding. We are a training practice (GP and F2).

We have in-house pharmacist and physio as well as mental health team support. Great IT systems (S1 with Ardens) in place. In-house minor surgery, diabetes, family Planning, dermatology and IT expertise.

About us

Woodlands Medical Practice is a forward thinking GMS practice in the west of Sutton-in-Ashfield (Ashfield North PCN). We currently service a list of 11500 patients. We have a low home visiting rate (local home visiting service).

We work from purpose built leased premises close to the A38 and M1 with good parking and easy access to Nottingham and Derbyshire.

The GP team are supported by a team of practice nurses , HCA's, a phlebotomist and a full administration team including a practice manager and assistant practice manager.

We offer access to the NHS pension scheme, free staff parking and a generous annual leave entitlement.

We are a very friendly and hard working practice which has earnt us the title of CQC Outstanding which we are very proud of.

If you don't know Sutton-in-Ashfield, its easily accessible via (M1/A38) from Nottingham and Derbyshire and we have a local hospital some 3 miles away (Kings Mill).
