We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic, and dedicated Practice Nurse to become part of our welcoming and supportive Nursing Team at The Park Medical Practice. Main duties of the job
Key Responsibilities
Special focus on Asthma and COPD,
Spirometry experience is advantageous.
Training on Spirometry will be offered if not already trained.
Vaccination & Immunisation: Administer routine and travel vaccinations in line with national guidelines.
Cervical Screening: Perform smear tests and support patients through the screening process
Wound Care: Provide assessment, treatment, and ongoing management of acute and chronic wounds.
Chronic Disease Management:
Conduct reviews and support management plans for patients with long-term conditions.
Health Promotion & Education, deliver lifestyle advice and support preventive health initiatives.
Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation using SystmOne or similar systems.
Team Collaboration, Work closely with GPs, other nurses, HCAs, and administrative staff to ensure seamless patient care.
Autonomous Practice: Confidently manage own clinics and patient caseloads with minimal supervision.
Essential Skills & Qualifications
Registered Nurse NMC
Previous experience in a general practice
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Commitment to ongoing professional development
Desirable
Spirometry training or experience
Additional qualifications in chronic disease management
Prescribing qualification
