Job summary

We at Linden Hall Surgery are looking to expand our team and recruit an additional ANP/ACP.

Our ideal candidate is positive with a good sense of humour, fantastic communication skills and keen to really integrate with the current team. We pride ourselves on being an innovative practice but championing traditional family medicine and are looking for someone who shares these values.

We welcome applications from ANPs or ACPs with experience working in this role, who are qualified to prescribe, and can confidently manage minor illness presentations as well as assisting with chronic disease management.

Main duties of the job

You will be part of the wider multidisciplinary team delivering high quality and responsive care to our patient population. This will involve assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of both acute and chronic issues, embracing the benefits of getting to really know the patient population you are working with.

You will work independently, but alongside the wider clinical team, with structured debrief time with a supervising GP built in to each session.

Main responsibilities:

  • Deliver a high standard of patient care within your scope of practice, backed up by good knowledge of local and national guidelines
  • Assess, diagnose, and manage patient conditions, both acute and chronic
  • As an independent prescriber, follow and apply the principles of safe prescribing, in-line with local and national guidelines
  • Work closely with the wider team to enhance patient care, both treatment and prevention
  • Remains up-to-date with your clinical knowledge and registration requirements

About us

Linden Hall Surgery is based across two sites in the Shropshire market town of Newport, and the smaller suburb of Muxton, both north of Telford. The surgery currently has a a list size of 16200 patients and continues to grow.

We are a total triage practice, utilising GP triage for all requests on the AccuRx platform, supported by an excellent triage support team within a dedicated triage hub. This has given us fantastic responsiveness to clinical need, with patients seeing the right person at the right time. 60% of patients are seen on the day, and all within 2 weeks.

The surgery consists of a close-knit team of 4 partners and 6 salaried GPs, alongside an ANP and trainee ANP, and an expanding team of PCN ARRS members currently including a First Contact Physiotherapist, Primary Care Paramedics, Clinical Pharmacist, Pharmacy Technicians, Social Prescriber, Mental Health Practitioner, and Age UK Link Worker.

The surgery is a training practice with three trainers and regular GP VTS and FY2 placements and is highly regarded in this capacity.

Whole surgery social activities are regularly arranged in addition to clinical meetings.
