Job description

Job responsibilities

We aim to be an enthusiastic, well-organised practice providing good quality care at least most of the time! This requires commitment and we hope you can join with us in that philosophy. Work in general practice can be challenging expect it to be difficult at times. You will be supported by your mentor and the practice but seeing patients in general practice involves you having to make some decisions without the benefit of immediate advice from seniors. Coping with uncertainty and managing risk are important skills to learn.

Regarding workload - you will never be asked to do more than any partner and usually it will be considerably less.

This is an exciting new role in practice for the right candidate.

The working day will typically be afternoons only Monday-Friday 2pm-6pm. You are required to provide our home visiting service to an agreed number of patients in each of your daily rotas. When there are no visits required for the afternoon you would see a mixture of patients either face to face in practice or provide a telephone consultation. Full detail will be discussed and agreed.
