Job summary

We are seeking a motivated and patient-focused Primary Care Paramedic to join our dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a primary care setting, delivering high-quality, accessible care to our patient population.

The successful candidate will work alongside GPs, nurses, pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to assess, diagnose and manage a wide range of minor illness conditions, helping to improve patient outcomes and ease GP workload.

Main duties of the job

  • Conduct face-to-face and telephone consultations for patients presenting with minor illnesses

  • Undertake clinical assessment, diagnosis and management within scope of practice

  • Provide urgent same-day care and triage patients appropriately

  • Prescribe or supply medication (if qualified) or make recommendations for treatment

  • Refer patients to appropriate services, including secondary care, community services or allied health professionals

  • Maintain accurate clinical records

  • Contribute to service development and quality improvement initiatives

    • Registered Paramedic with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
    • Experience in urgent care, ambulance service or primary care
    • Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
    • Excellent communication and organisational skills
    • Full UK driving licence
