Aire Valley Surgery and Guiseley & Yeadon Medical Practice are now working collaboratively to serve a population of patients in Rawdon, Guiseley and Yeadon of circa 26,000. Operating from 4 sites, we are now looking to expand our team of GPs.
We have two vacancies to work at our Guiseley & Yeadon Medical Practice.
Each GP vacancy is to work 4 sessions (2 days) per week. This will be working over 2 days and covering one half day of oncall each week on average:
Either the fixed pattern of Tuesday and Friday or the fixed pattern of Thursday and Friday.
These roles will primarily be based at the Guiseley & Yeadon Medical Practice site in Yeadon - at Yeadon Health Centre.
Main duties of the job
We are looking for a highly motivated doctor to join our rapidly expanding medical team.
Our big practice with a small friendly team approach is situated in
purpose build premises in the pleasant residential areas of Guiseley and Yeadon in Leeds.
Guiseley and Yeadon Medical Practice has been recently taken over by Aire Valley Surgery and this is a collaborative arrangement where our teams will work closely together, however the patients will be registered with one practice to ensure continuity of care, etc
We are a training practice and participate in a range of enhanced
services. Aire Valley Surgery and Guiseley and Yeadon Medical Practice have a
dedicated large team which consists of GPs including
Registrars, Advanced Nurse Practitioners, Physicians Associates, Practice
Pharmacists. We have a new Nursing
Team and our attached staff in house include the Midwifes, First Contact
Practitioners, Care Coordinator and we have a strong frailty Team who do the ward rounds at our local care homes
List size of approximately 11,000 at Guiseley & Yeadon Medical Practice

Catrin Lewis and Dr Jon Yardley
SystemOne and operating a total triage software system called Accurx
There is no requirement for any extended hours work
This includes a fair share of letters, path links and
prescriptions
Salaried rates and job plan will be primarily
based around recommended BMA

We have recently been integrated into the Aire Valley Surgery Team, and we work collaboratively with them, however our patient populations remain separate. Were proud of our supportive, team-based culture and our focus on providing safe, high-quality, and accessible care.
Led by our Clinical Lead, Dr Helen Lawton, we have a well-established multidisciplinary team that includes GPs, nurses, HCAs, pharmacists, a physician associate, and experienced administrative staff. The practice uses SystmOne and Accurx to deliver efficient, patient-centred care through a total triage model.
The Role
Were looking for a committed and enthusiastic GP to join us for 4 sessions per week, including one half-day of on-call each week as part of our shared rota. This role does include working on a Friday as well one other day (Tuesday or Thursday)
Youll be supported by a collaborative clinical and administrative team, with opportunities to contribute to teaching, quality improvement, and wider practice development.
