Job summary
We are an established, friendly, and supportive practice in West Swindon with a patient list of
10,000, looking for a 4-8 session Salaried GP who would like to join a stable team with a view to
partnership in the future.
We have a permanent team of five GPs, an established nursing team, PCN Pharmacy team, and
a committed management structure that values collaboration and sustainability in general
practice. We pride ourselves on delivering patient-focused medicine with continuity of care at
the heart of what we do.
Main duties of the job
You will undertake the full range of general practice duties including:
Face-to-face consultations
Home visits within a defined boundary (maximum 15 minutes from the practice)
Signing repeat prescriptions
Assessing and managing undifferentiated and undiagnosed problems
Screening for disease risk factors and early signs of illness
Developing care plans in line with current disease management protocols
Prescribing within the practice formulary
Recording clear, contemporaneous notes (with an option of AI transcribing support)
You will manage your own clinics, dealing with a wide range of health needs in a primary care
setting, while contributing to the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based care.

They will possess a strong commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centred care and demonstrate excellent clinical skills across a broad spectrum of primary care. Adaptability and a willingness to engage with ongoing professional development and reflective practice are important, as is a proactive approach to contributing positively to practice development and service improvement.
- A genuine interest in continuity of care, collaborative working, and the sustainability of general practice will be highly valued. Professional integrity, reliability, and a commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and upholding data protection standards are vital.
Desirable
- A strong enthusiasm for building a long-term career in general practice, with a genuine interest in progressing towards partnership within the practice. Experience gained during GP training, including exposure to diverse clinical settings and multidisciplinary teamwork, would be advantageous. A willingness to engage proactively in service development, quality improvement, and practice leadership is highly valued. Familiarity with SystmOne or similar clinical systems would be beneficial but is not essential, as training can be provided.
