Job summary

We are looking for an enthusiastic candidate with good communication skills who enjoys providing an excellent service to a wide range of people, by phone and face to face. Our Reception Team arranges appointments, answers queries, inputs data and signposts people to the appropriate services in our busy GP Surgery.

We use TPP SystmOne and will provide training for this.

This is a part-time post of 20 hours a week. The successful candidate will be required to work an evening (6pm - 8pm) approximately once a month on a Wednesday or Thursday.

Job responsibilities

Greet patients and visitors to the Practice, providing a high standard of customer service

Answering telephone calls, ensuring calls are documented and directed appropriately

Booking, amending and cancelling patient appointments

Signposting patients to the most suitable services including self-care and patient education events offered by the Practice

Ensuring patient records are maintained on SystmOne

Dealing with queries and concerns raised by patients

Working collaboratively with other members of the Practice Team to support the patient experience when contacting or visiting the Practice
