We are looking for someone to cover the following hours.

Monday 8.30-1

Tuesday 11.30-4.30

Wednesday 12-6

Thursday 8.30-1

Friday 12-6

We are looking for a highly motivated, enthusiastic administrator to join our close knit team. This job entails running the day to day admin duties for the practice. This is a busy but varied role for the right candidate.

Main duties of the job

Liaise with doctors, hospital staff, patients, and outside agencies to meet the patients needs and to coordinate the patients care

Dealing with patient enquiries, exercising initiative regarding action necessary within the boundaries of own capability and the role

Help and support colleagues as required, including cover for annual leave and sickness

Effectively manage own time, workload, and resources

Daily use of the practice's clinical system to effectively communicate with patients and other services as required

Enter all correspondence onto the Practice clinical system using codes.

Take messages as appropriate

Deal with telephone queries answering all calls in a polite and professional manner

Perform any reasonable administrative tasks as requested

To assist in the cancellation of surgeries due to sickness etc by contacting patients by letter/telephone/text as appropriate

Ensure that all confidential patient and practice information is stored and handed in accordance with Practice Policy and the law

Any other duties as required by the Reception Manager, Practice Manager, or GP Partners

Maintaining the Rooms and Rotas folder

Booking in outside agencies room availability and allocation

Links. Maintenance and ensuring patient records held are accurate

Medical records and reports. Ensuring these are actioned in a timely manner

Responsible for the Admin inbox

Booking locums including using platforms such as Locum Deck and Lantum

To cover reception when required.

The Chapeltown Family Surgery has been serving the people of Chapeltown and Harehills for the last 40 years. We are closely engaged with the local community. We are a small team and work together to achieve a friendly and efficient practice. We consist of two partner GPs and one salaried. We have two nurses and a small reception team.
