Job summary

New Road Surgery are looking for a part-time experienced Dispenser/Receptionist with NVQ Level II or equivalent to work in our small dispensary at our Sarratt branch site. This will include at least three mornings per week from 8am to 12pm.

Main duties of the job

Previous experience as a dispenser is essential and the successful candidate will be personable with a good telephone manner, great communication skills and the ability to work as part of a busy team to provide excellent patient service.

About us

We are a friendly, patient centred, training practice led by four doctors in partnership serving nearly 11,000 patients in Croxley Green, Sarratt and the surrounding area, from the main premises in Croxley Green and a branch surgery in Sarratt.

As a Dispenser, to be responsible for the processing of prescriptions in accordance with practice policy and extant legislation. In addition, the post holder will be required to order and manage the dispensary stock as well as managing the small branch surgery dispensary premises. As a Receptionist, to receive, assist and direct patients in accessing the appropriate service or healthcare professional in a courteous, efficient and effective way. Provide general assistance to the practice team and project a positive and friendly image to patients and other visitors, either in person or via the telephone.
