We are seeking a skilled Phlebotomist to join our healthcare team for 20 hours per week on an initial 3 month fixed term contract. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in phlebotomy and demonstrate proficiency in various techniques. This role is crucial for ensuring accurate blood collection and contributing to patient care.

Main duties of the job

Duties

  • Perform venipunctures and capillary punctures for blood collection, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
  • Maintain aseptic technique throughout all procedures to prevent contamination.
  • Accurately label and process specimens for laboratory analysis.
  • Document patient information and procedures performed in accordance with hospital protocols.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure effective patient care.
  • Stay updated on medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology relevant to phlebotomy practices.

We are a two site GP Practice based in Old Windsor and Englefield Green looking after 12,000 patients.
