We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Salaried GP to join our friendly and supportive team for 6 sessions per week (Monday, Wednesday, Thursday). Main duties of the job
Provide telephone and face-to-face consultations across a broad range of clinical presentations.Triage digital health forms and online consultation requests (currently using PATCHS)Manage urgent same-day demand, including participation in the triage/on-call rota.Undertake home visits when clinically indicated (a full driving licence is required).Deliver safe, effective, and evidence-based care in line with practice policies and clinical guidelines.Prescribe medications, request and interpret investigations, and manage referrals appropriately.Handle clinical administrative tasks such as reviewing lab results, Docman correspondence, and other clinician-appropriate duties.
Contribute to the achievement of QOF targets, enhanced services, and ongoing practice development initiatives.
About us
Eastham Group Practice is a PMS contract-holding medical practice in Brombough and the Eastham area of Wirral. The Practice has been established in the local area since the 1940's, and currently serves approximately 11,200 patients.
We have seven GP partners, three Advanced Clinical Practitioners, and one salaried GP. Our clinical staff also includes two Practice Nurses, two Nurse Associates, two Health Care Assistants, and a Physiotherapist for joint injection support.
Eastham Group Practice is a training practice, hosting GP registrars, medical students, and student nurses on training placements.
We are a part of Healthier South Wirral PCN. Together, we serve a diverse community across South Wirral, delivering proactive, personalised, and integrated care. Our multidisciplinary team includes GPs, nurses, pharmacists, paramedics, mental health practitioners, social prescribers, and more, working in partnership with community, mental health, social care, and voluntary services.

- Inclusion on the NHS Performers List.
- Experience in on-call/duty doctor surgeries, with the ability to manage urgent same-day demand.
- Strong working knowledge of EMIS and Docman clinical systems.
- Excellent communication skills, with a clear, empathetic, and professional patient manner.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Full UK driving licence and access to a car, for conducting home visits when clinically necessary.
- Enhanced DBS clearance (or willingness to undergo one prior to appointment).
Desirable
- Previous experience in triage and digital consultation systems.
- Familiarity with online consultation platforms such as PATCHS.
- Experience contributing to QOF, enhanced services, and practice development.
