The future is exciting. Are you ready to join Primary Care Sheffield (PCS) as our new Business Intelligence Analyst?

Growing collaboration within healthcare in Sheffield provides PCS with a wide range of working-at-scale opportunities which can improve patient pathways and reduce cost. The purpose of the role is two-fold, to ensure that information is available to effectively manage our services in relation to both performance and general day to day management and to continue the growth of the company. In order to match our ambition with our ability to adequately research, scope, plan and deliver future business growth we require an experienced business analyst who can take ownership of the business intelligence function and continue to develop it.

Working closely with our senior leaders, you will provide a commercially focused business intelligence function across all of PCSs business areas, from service viability and design, through helping us win new business, to enabling us to monitor contractual and financial performance when we do. This is a responsible, varied and challenging role, suitable for someone who works well under pressure, is self-motivated and can multitask, whilst still working to a very high standard.

The impact of the role is immediate in terms of ensuring effective commercial challenge, planning, delivery and reporting of services critical to patient care, commercial success and organisational health.

Main duties of the job

Help internal stakeholders to articulate their information requirements and advise on how data can be used to support business processes and decision making.

Lead analytical development through the use of appropriate tools to extract, transform, query and present data continuing to develop and improve the use of Power BI in PCS.

Undertake data analysis, data modelling and data perdictives based upon identified business needs. This includes business process changes, technical options, costs and timetables, human resources and risks.

Produce/contribute to effective tender responses, proposals, reports, presentations to support business growth and service reporting.

Work closely with the relevant manager(s) to define, agree and produce regular BI reports/dashboards for internal and external consumption.

Develop and maintain complex data extraction and reporting solutions.

Provide authoritative information, guidance and advice on analytical solutions and implementation, ensuring compliance with PCS policies, standards and strategy.

Promote a culture within the organisation that recognises the benefits of an evidence-based approach.
