We have a great opportunity to join our nursing team. Due to retirement and increasing demand, practice
nursing hours have become available for
a minimum of two Practice Nurses within Primary Care Sheffield.
Main duties of the job
We are looking for a reliable, enthusiastic and motivated Practice Nurse
to work with us. A nurse who can provide excellent care and has a true dedication
for improving health outcomes for patients.
The
successful candidates will be a registered nurse, ideally with experience of
working in General Practice.
Interviews will be held on Wednesday 31 January 2024.
The work is interesting,
often challenging but hugely rewarding. The team is very mutually supportive,
with excellent experienced clinical, management and administrative support on
site.
On appointment you will have a full induction into the service and support
will always be available when needed from our Clinical Nurse Lead.

- To work as a member of the Practice Nursing Team and be responsible for acting within their professional boundaries to provide care for the presenting patient including screening, clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment and follow up of care; demonstrating safe clinical decision making and expert patient care

- Provide a comprehensive family planning service and sexual health service
- Undertake Spirometry and have undertaken relevant training

- Undertake Chronic disease management and prevention Asthma, COPD, Diabetes, Hypertension, Hypothyroidism, IHD, Stroke & LD
- Perform wound care using aseptic technique and general wound care

- Administer injections under an individual prescription or patient group direction
- Offer a holistic approach to travel health including comprehensive advice for patients prior to travel
