Main duties of the job

As a Practice Nurse, you will:

  • Deliver routine nursing care including immunisations, cervical screening, wound care, and health checks

  • Contribute to the ongoing management of patients with both acute and long-term conditions.

  • Provide health promotion and lifestyle advice

  • Maintain accurate clinical records in line with practice protocols

  • Work collaboratively with GPs, healthcare assistants, and administrative staff

Essential

  • Minimum of 2 years experience working as a Practice Nurse in general practice.

Qualifications

Essential

  • Registered Nurse with a valid NMC PIN.
  • Non-medical prescriber V300, or willingness to work towards.

Desirable

  • Proven experience in chronic disease management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a multidisciplinary team.
