Job summary

Regular Locum GP cover required for 1.5hr sessions on Wednesday's 18:30-20:00 from 1st April onwards

6 x 15 minute appointments (4 x f2f and 2 x telephone). Appointment time inclusive of admin

£100 p/h. (£150 per session)

Looking for commitment of Wednesday Locum cover for at least 3 -6 months.

If unable to commit to 3-6 months but able to offer April cover please contact declan.stow@nhs.net

Main duties of the job

  • Providing high quality consultations to our registered patients
  • Complete Enhanced Access cover sessions with correct coding and templates required

Job responsibilities

The General Practitioner (GP) will providehigh quality, patient centered, evidence based medical careto registered patients within a primary care setting.

Delivering comprehensive general medical services while showing confidence, competence, and leadership skills in line withGMC standards, NHS values, and professional best practice.

The GP will:

  • Deliversafe, effective, and compassionate care
  • Work within the scope of General Practice and NHS regulations
  • Practice reflective, evidence based medicine
  • Uphold patient confidentiality, dignity, and safeguarding
  • Contribute positively to team working and service improvement

Clinical Responsibilities

Provideface to face and telephone consultations

Assess, diagnose, treat, and manage acute and chronic medical conditions

Manage undifferentiated illness across all age groups

Long Term Condition Management

Manage patients with chronic diseases such as:

Diabetes

Maintain accurate, timely, and comprehensive clinical records

Complete referrals, reports, and correspondence efficiently

Participate in clinical coding and data quality improvement
