Job summary
This is an exciting opportunity to join our friendly team at Kew Medical Practice surgery as a GP Assistant. This is a permanent full-time role at 37 hours/week.
The post holder will report to the practice manager and the general practitioners and will support the GP's to ensure the efficient provision of medical services. This will allow the GP's to utilise their own time more effectively towards greater patient focused activities.

Key Responsibilities:
- Sorting clinical post and Workflow Management.
- Extracting information from clinical letters that need coding into patient records.
- Supporting with QOF /LCS and other clinical services.
- Arranging patient recalls and appointments: blood tests and chronic disease clinics
- Completing basic (non-opinion) forms and core elements of some forms for the GP to approve and sign, such as insurance forms, benefits agency forms, etc.
- Helping the GP liaise with outside agencies, e.g., getting an on-call doctor on the phone to ask advice or arrange admission while the GP can continue with their consultations.
- Completing simple clinical observations such as urine dips, blood pressure checks. (If needed further training to be provided)
