Job Summary
At Grafton Medical
Partners, we strive to provide supportive and friendly working environment for
all of our staff. In turn, we provide a warm and welcoming service to our
patients, who over the years, have built up very strong relationships with our
longstanding team members (both clinical and non-clinical), which we aim to
maintain.
We are currently looking
to recruit a salaried GP to join our clinical team. As you will be integral
team member, the role will include clinical and administrative duties that will
normally be collaborated with the Senior Partners/Operations Manager, along
with Duty Doctor shifts. At Grafton Medical Partners our doctors are supported
by a number of ARRS roles including Care Co-ordinators, Pharmacists, FCP,
Paramedics and Social Prescriber.
As we are a long
established training practice hosting medical students, F2 doctors and
Registrars with all our Partners being GP Trainers, we are advocacies for those
interested in developing teaching skills.
Job Responsibilities
In accordance with the practice timetable, as agreed, the
post-holder will make themselves available to undertake a variety of duties,
including surgery consultations (telephone triage and face-to-face appointments,
including home visits), checking and signing repeat prescriptions and dealing
with queries, paperwork and correspondence in a timely frame.
Making professional, autonomous decisions in relations to
presenting problems, whether self-referred or referred from other health care
workers within the organisation.
Assessing the health care needs of patients with
undifferentiated and undiagnosed problems.
Screening
patients for disease risk factors and early signs of illness.
Providing
counselling and health education.
Recording clear
and contemporary consultation notes.
Compiling and
issuing computer-generated acute and repeat prescriptions.
Prescribing in
accordance with the Practice prescribing formulary (or generically) whenever
this is clinically appropriate.
Monitor and
manage documents on EMIS results, lab reports, etc.
Participate in
rotational on-call rota.
Consult with
other GP team members about the specialized needs of some patients.
Expected to
attend weekly clinical in practice meetings.

any hazards in your working area are reported immediately to the Operations
Manager.

Ensure patient and Practice information is kept confidential and secure
at all times, in accordance with the Information Security and Confidentiality
protocols.

To participate in mandatory training sessions to ensure administrative,
clinical and computer skills are kept up to date with current technology and
practice.

safe,efficient andprovides the best possible care for patients.
To
offer suggestions to the Practice Manager on how we can improve, progress
anddevelop allprocesses relating to CQC.
