Job summary
We are looking for an enthusiastic, friendly, hard working, experienced Healthcare Assistant to join our team at Millview Surgery working 24hours per week. The hours of work are Tuesday 8.00- 4.30, Thursday 8.00 - 4.30 and Friday 8.00 - 4.30. We do extended access appointments on a Monday evening - 6.30pm - 8.00pm and you will be expected to work one of these on a rota basis (usually works out approx. 1 in 4).
Main duties of the job
The ideal candidate will have a range of HCA skills including venepuncture, ECG's, Urinalysis, taking Blood Pressure and pulse observations, NHS Health checks and lifestyle advice.
The ideal candidate will have experience of working in a GP surgery. Flexibility and the ability to work as part of a team are essential.
About us
Millview Surgery is a friendly busy,
hardworking practice with 8500 patients. We use clinical system SystemOne. We are
a team of 6 GPs, 2 Practice Nurses, 1 Nurse Associate and 2 Phlebotomists as well as a
team of 12 admin staff.We have a multi-disciplinary Practice team
with care being provided by a First contact Physio, Practice Pharmacists,
Social Prescribers and Mental Health Practitioners.
We are a training practice and
therefore have GP Registrars on placement with us as well as
student nurses.
Our last CQC rating was good.
We consistently have high QOF achievement.
As a Health Care Assistant you will
be supported by our established nursing team and GPs clinically and by our
excellent admin team
