Job summary
To support the GPs and practice nursing team in the delivery of nursing services, working as part of the practice multidisciplinary team, delivering care within their scope of practice of the entitled patient population. The healthcare team member will deliver and assist clinical staff in the provision of treatment, preventative care, health promotion and patient education.
The post holder works operationally under the direct supervision of the Health Care Team Manager and clinically under the supervision of the clinical team and meet with the needs of the patients following policy and procedures.
To manage daily clinics as delegated by management and the nursing team. There may also be a requirement for some visiting of patients either in their own home or in a care home environment.
To trial and adopt new working methods designed to manage the increasing demand in primary care.
To help develop the North Brink Practice for the overall benefit of its patients.
Undertake training and provide cover in our Patient Services Team as required.

t. Ensure clinical waste is removed from clinical areas and sharps bins replaced in accordance with the practice infection prevention and control policy.
u. Deliver opportunistic health promotions where appropriate
v. Undertake training and provide cover in our Patient Services Team as required.
The Healthcare Assistant will have a range of clinical skills developed through experience and will be competent to deal with general health care duties, working to Practice policies and referral to the Nursing Team when appropriate.
