Job summary
Reception staff play an incredibly important part of our team and are the first point of contact for our patients. We are currently looking to recruit and enthusiastic, motivated person to join our Practice, working in reception to provide an efficient and professional service to patients. The position will be 37.5 hours per week (there will be some requirement to work overtime to cover annual leave) and subject to a successful 6 months probabtionary period.
Main duties of the job
- To act as a welcoming and professional first point of contact for patients and organisations contacting the practice.
- Care navigate patients to the most appropriate service for their needs.
- Provide a range of administrative duties.
- Contribute to the smooth running of the practice.
- Assist in the effective communication between all members of the practice team, patients, and other external agencies.
About us
We are a friendly and welcoming GP practice based in Trinity Square in Gateshead town centre with approx 7,300 patients.
We have 1 GP partner, 8 salaried GP's, 1 long term locum, 1 Nurse practitioner, 2 Practice nurses, 3 Health care assistants and admin team. All these roles are supported by our reception team who play a vital part in the day to day running of the practice.
