Job summary

We are a busy GP Practice of medium size based in Moreton on the Wirral. We have a list size of 13,250 patients.

We have a well established team which we are looking to enhance further.

The successful applicant must be flexible, be able to work under pressure and enjoy working within a team. A good standard of education and previous experience of working in a GP surgery or in a customer facing role would be adventagious.

Administrator Job Advert

We are looking for a proactive and organised Administrator to join our team. This role is essential in supporting the smooth running of the practice and ensuring effective communication between primary care, secondary care, and wider community services.

Key Responsibilities

Opening, sorting, and scanning incoming post received from secondary care and ensuring it is accurately uploaded to the clinical system.

Acting as a key point of contact between clinical staff in the practice and colleagues in secondary care, hospitals, and other community agencies.

Managing queries efficiently and directing information to the appropriate clinicians or teams.

Ensuring all administrative tasks are carried out accurately and in a timely manner to support high quality patient care.

Maintaining confidentiality and following information governance procedures at all times.

Main duties of the job

Skills & Experience

Strong IT skills, with good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Word and Excel.

Confident using computer systems and able to learn new software quickly.

Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with clinical and nonclinical staff.

High level of attention to detail and the ability to manage a busy and varied workload.

Ability to work both independently and as part of a wider team.

Explaining the practice procedures to new patients.

Dealing with all requests in an efficient and courteous manner.

Screening enquiries for the doctors and medical staff.

Updating the surgeries computer system with appointments and personal details.

Accurately collecting updating and maintaining personal details about patients.

Signpost patients to the correct service

Support all clinical staff with general tasks as requested

About us

Moreton Group Practice we have a clinical team consisting of GPs, three ANP's, five practice nurses and three HCA's. They are supported by a large admin team comprising of Medical Secretaries, Medicines Managers and Administrators.

We are a friendly team passionate about providing excellence in care to our patients. We are based over two sites and the role will require working over both. The sites are both within walking distance of each other.

We were rated "Good" at our last CQC inspection. We are high achievers in QOF and other enhanced services.

Moreton Group Practice are also attached to Moreton and Meols PCN who provide additional health professional roles, for instance pharmacists, physiotherapists, paramedics, health & well being coaches and more to our team.
