Job summary
The Nile Practice is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic HCA
to join our friendly practice team.
You must be a team player, flexible and committed to provide excellent care to our patients.
As a HCA you will assist in delivering treatment, preventative care, patient
education and health promotion.
The role is part-time, 30 hours per week.
Main duties of the job
To support the practice nursing and multidisciplinary team, in the delivery of nursing
services and delivering
care within their scope to the practice patient population.
You must be able to provide services detailed in job description.
The
healthcare assistant will deliver and assist clinical staff in the provision of
treatment, preventative care, health promotion and patient education.

The Nile Practice is 2 partner training practice over 3 sites, based in Cheslyn Hay, Cannock and Hednesford.
We are a high QOF achieving practice with a Good CQC rating, with a current list size of over 10k patients.

- Ensure
specimen's are labelled and bagged ready for collection.
- Restocking
of equipment and stock rotation
- Chaperoning
- Vaccine/cold chain storage, monitoring and
recording
Administration and professional responsibilities
- Participate
in the administrative and professional responsibilities of the practice
team
- Ensure
accuracy of all consultations and treatments recorded
- Attend
and participate in practice meetings as required
- To create/send recall letters/texts for
clinics
Communicate closely with other colleagues, reporting on patients
condition as appropriate
Give advice and support to patients and carers within duties appropriate
to grade and to level of competence
To maintain agreed standards of hygiene in all clinical/treatment rooms
To work within guidelines of the practice, policies and procedures
To have responsibility for the Health and Safety and welfare of others
in the working environment, to follow safe working practices and to comply at
all times with the practices Health and Safety Policies and Procedures
To work within the framework of relevant statute/Department of Health
Directives
To ensure practice displays of health promotion material are kept up to
date and season displays are managed effectively
To ensure confidentiality on all matters relating to patients and
information obtained during the course of employment
Maintain good working relationships with other members of the
practice/primary care team and staff from other agencies
Identify training needs of self and participate in relevant
education/training programmes
To attend staff meetings as required
Undertake such duties as may be required from time to time, as are
consistent with the responsibilities of the grade and the individuals level of
competence
