Job summary

A new and exciting opportunity has arisen for a Quality and Compliance position within the company. This is a hugely exciting opportunity to improve the organisations Quality and compliance, ensuring we are working in line with our regulatory bodies such as CQC, ICB and NHSE expectations.

As the business Quality & Compliance Officer you will be responsible for monitoring CQC notifications, Information Governance procedures and compliance, safeguarding actions, overseeing business compliance, attending regular compliance meetings and reporting back to the Practice Manager with actions and improvements.

Main duties of the job

Your responsibilities will include but not inclusive of:

Identifying and evaluating potential improvements to the service, discussing improvement ideas with managers, and agreeing a prioritised plan of implementation to take plans forward.

Understand, communicate, and support the achievement of quality assurance targets for the service monthly.

Understand and comply with specified performance level of IG requirements, and target year on year improvements.

Asses current policies and procedures and ensure they are in line with expectations of regulators.

Tracking continued progress, ensuring trends within the service are proactively reviewed. This will include agreed KPIs and contract reporting.

Monitor and maintain up to date mandatory training records as required.

To attend meetings relevant to the department, and internal / external training events as and when required.

Set up and monitor local compliance dashboards.

Support the Practice Manager to ensure they are delivering the optimum quality within the organisation.

Maintain an overview of quality for the organisation and work proactively to identify themes and trends, seeking proactive solutions.

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, reliable, highly motivated Co-Ordinator to join our existing team of 62 staff, who currently operate across six practices; Buckshaw Village Surgery, Croston Medical Centre, Eaves Lane Surgery, Adlington Medical Centre, Medicare Unit Surgery and The Village Surgery Lostock Hall. We strive to provide top innovative primary care services to our overall patient population in excess of 30,000.
