Job summary

The Healthcare Assistant will assist the practice clinical team in the provision and delivery of prescribed programmes of patient care, strictly in accordance with specific partnership guidelines and protocols. Working 25.5 hours per week.

Main duties of the job

Bewdley Medical Centre are looking to recruit a Healthcare Assistant who will assist the practice clinical team in the provision and delivery of prescribed programmes of patient care, strictly in accordance with specific partnership guidelines and protocols. To include the following:

New patient health checks.

ECG recording.

Phlebotomy.

Injections to include Influenza, Pneumococcal, Vitamin B12, Shingles.

Chaperoning duties.

Processing and management of laboratory samples requested by GPs/nurses.

Vaccine/cold chain storage, monitoring and recording.

Surgical equipment and vaccine re-stocking and stock rotation.

Clearing and re-stocking consulting rooms.
