We are looking to welcome into our team a clinician who is aiming to deliver high standards of patient care and preferably has an interest in paediatrics.
We are offering an opportunity for a motivated & experienced Advanced Nurse Prescriber or Advanced Clinical Practitioner to join our friendly & well established team, working in a successful team in a primary care setting. We are a practice that is working within the Worcester City Primary Care Network to provide an excellent collaborative service within our area.
Main duties of the job
As a practitioner joining our team of gps, Physician Associates, Prescribing ANP's in a well supported clinical team you will be responsible for delivering high quality care, demonstrating skills in critical thinking and clinical decision making. You will share in the clinical and administrative workload of the organisation, undertaking minor illness and chronic disease management clinics, medication reviews and duties of pathology and repeat prescriptions. You will be supported in this role by our GPs and existing Nurse Prescribers & Pharmacy team. Applicants will have completed the Independent Prescribing course and be confident working autonomously, as well as under the guidance of our GPs.
To work as an autonomous practitioner working independently and with other health care professionals to assess, diagnose and treat patients with a range of acute, non-acute and chronic medical conditions, initiating treatment as appropriate.
On occasion to visit patients either in their own home but we are supported as a practice by an Acute Visiting Team within the Worcester City PCN
To collaborate with GPs, nursing staff and non-clinical support staff.
Use his/her individual skill and experience in order to make a positive contribution to the organisation.
To trial and adopt new working methods when introduced to manage the increasing demand in primary care.
We encourage further skills development within our teams.

Barbourne Health Centre is based in a purpose built premises just on outskirts of Worcester City with easy access to transport routes.
We have a current patient list of £11,600 and have an emphasis on providing high quality accessible care.
