Job summary
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated GP to join our forward thinking GP Practice at Lingwell Croft Surgery in Middleton, Leeds. We are looking for 6 sessions per week.
We have just one site and have a patient list size of 15,500, 4 GP Partners, 5 Salaried GPs, three Advanced Nurse Practitioners, two Pharmacists, Pharmacy technician and a highly qualified Nursing team of 9.

The structure of the practice allows us to have a Reception team, a Prescribing team, an IT/Admin and coding team, Pathology Results team and a Secretarial team who provide support in order to reduce the GP workload.
The post holder will be a qualified general practitioner who can demonstrate highly developed clinical skills and be able to demonstrate critical thinking whilst working within their professional boundaries.
They will work within a clinical team consisting of GPs, ANPs, Practice Pharmacists, Practice Nurses and Health Care Assistants to deliver excellent primary care services within the practice.
They will be able to manage a busy and varied clinical caseload with for patients requiring routine, acute, home visits and palliative care. There will also be the opportunity to take on a lead clinical area of specialist interest.
Main duties of the job
- In accordance with the practice timetable, as agreed, the post-holder will make themselves available to undertake a variety of duties including surgery consultations, telephone consultations and queries, visiting patients at home, checking and signing repeat prescriptions and dealing with queries, paperwork, insurance reports, medicals and correspondence in a timely fashion.
- Making professional, autonomous decisions in relation to presenting problems, whether self-referred or referred from other health care workers within the organisation
- Assessing the health care needs of patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed problems
