The Menston and Guiseley Practice seek a keen and enthusiastic GP to join our innovative twin-site GMS training practice for 4-8 clinical sessions per week (Thursday and Friday essential working days).

Main duties of the job

Main duties of the job

The post holder will be a qualified general practitioner who can demonstrate highly developed clinical skills and be able to demonstrate critical thinking whilst working

They will be able to manage a busy and varied clinical caseload with for patients requiring routine, acute, home visits and palliative care.

In accordance with the practice timetable, as agreed, the post-holder will make themselves available to undertake a variety of duties including surgery consultations, telephone consultations and queries, visiting patients at home, checking and signing repeat prescriptions and dealing with queries in a timely fashion.

• Making professional, autonomous decisions in relation to presenting problems, whether self-referred or referred from other health care workers within the organisation
• Assessing the health care needs of patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed problems
• Screening patients for disease risk factors and early signs of illness
• In general the post-holder will be expected to undertake all the normal duties and responsibilities associated with a GP working within primary care

We have a patient list size of 11,700, The Practice has a friendly and committed team of staff consisting of 3 GP Partners, 2 Salaried GPs, 3 GP Registrars, 1 ACP, 3 Pharmacists, 1 Physicians Associate, 4 Practice Nurses and 3 HCAs along with an experienced and supportive management and administrative team.
