As a Maternity Cover GP, your core
responsibilities include:
- Providing highly effective
medical care to the entitled population
- Ensuring services align with the
GMS contract
- Managing long-term conditions
effectively
- Processing administration
promptly, including referrals and prescriptions
- Participating in telephone triage
and duty doctor roles on a rotational basis
- Maintaining accurate clinical
records following best practices and guidelines
- Collaborating with the practice
team to share the workload
- Adhering to clinical guidelines
and the audit process
- Offering health promotion advice
when appropriate
- Contributing to QOF requirements
and accurate recording of information
- Actively participating in
practice meetings and development
- Complying with the appraisal and
revalidation process
- Committing to continuous
professional development and encouraging the practice team's growth
- Supporting partners in achieving
the practice's strategic aims
- Adhering to practice protocols
and policies
- Embracing collaborative working
and regular communication with all staff
