Main duties of the job
In the role of Nurse Associate, you will work as an active member of the multidisciplinary team supported by senior nurses and Team Leaders. You will deliver care within the boundaries of your role, focusing on supporting patients to be healthy, monitoring of long term conditions, health prevention and screening activities. You will work to meet the needs of patients, ensuring the highest standards of care and supporting the delivery of policy and procedures.
You must work at all times within your own competence and professional code of conduct as regulated by the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) and use your own judgement, knowledge and common sense in your day to day activities.

- You will have an understanding of the nursing process and be able to assess plan, implement and evaluate programmes of care to improve health and well-being and meet the healthcare needs of individuals and groups.
- Prioritise health problems and intervene appropriately to assist the patient in complex, urgent or emergency situations, including initiation of effective emergency care.
- Enable patients, families and carers to develop their knowledge and understanding about their health and well-being and be as self-managing as possible.
- Demonstrate a range of technical and clinical skills and competencies in accordance with the needs of the service.
