Job summary
We have an exciting opportunity for a Salaried GP to join our friendly town centre practice.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, hard working, team player.Newly qualified or experienced GPs are welcome to apply.
Initially fixed term with a view to a permanent position for the right candidate.
Main duties of the job
This is a Part time position (5 sessions) to work alongside our established clinical team.
Sessions will be worked:
Tuesday - Full Day (2 Sessions)
Wednesday - Full Day (2 sessions)
Thursday - AM (1 session) - conditional that on the second Thursday of each month, the session will move to PM for attendance at staff training.
Professional GMC registration is required

Peterloo Medical Centre is a busy practice in the heart of Middleton.
We are a happy and friendly team that works together to provide person centred healthcare.
We are a five GP Partner Practice, with one salaried GP, one GP Retainer, Two Practice Nurses, a Nurse Associate and a full admin and reception team. We are also a training practice for ST2 and ST3 GPs.

Job responsibilities
- Provide high quality and current evidence based medical care and treatment to patients, assessing the health needs of patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed problems.
- Developing care plans for health in consultation with patients and in line with current practice disease management protocols
- Providing counselling and health education
- Recording clear and contemporaneous consultation notes to agreed standards
- Compiling and issuing computer generated acute and repeat prescriptions (avoiding hand written prescriptions whenever possible)
- Provide all GP services as required as part of the GMS contract
- Undertake all necessary and relevant paperwork associated with the provision of medical services.
- Support the achievements of QOF, IIF and local scheme targets
- Actively participate in the development of services within the practice that meet the needs of the practice population and maximise the opportunities of new enhanced services.
- Participate in the GP on call rota, covering emergencies and urgent requests on a rota basis.
- Participate in individual and practice reviews as part of incident or complaints management process
- Undertake clinical audits as required
- Participate in an ongoing personal and professional development programme including annual appraisal and supervision
- Ensure that mandatory training is completed within agreed timescales
