We are
currently looking to recruit a
6 SESSION SALARIED GP
To work at
our practice 3 days a week, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday.
We are a friendly practice based on the rural outskirts of
Sheffield. Whilst being situated in a beautiful quiet valley, we are still only
9 miles from Sheffield city centre and just a half hour drive away from the
heart of Sheffield. We are looking for a
passionate and enthusiastic GP to join our amazing team!
6 Sessions Tues, Thurs & Fri
14 Appointments per session
Salary £10,600 per session
5 Partners / 4 salaried GPs
SystmOne clinical system
No weekend, evening Out of Hours or extended
access work
MPS Group Scheme
6 Weeks annual leave and 1 week study leave,
pro rata
Red Whale access for CPD/ online training
Some on call duties
List size around 9,500 patients
Member of the Upper Don Network
Purpose built, recently upgraded, modern premises
Weekly GP meeting, monthly clinical team
meeting, plus other periodic MDT meetings
Quarterly PPG meetings
Medical Students from Sheffield Medical School
Good links with Sheffield Teaching Hospitals and
BDGH
Full clinical support inc Nurse team, HCAs,
in-house FCP service, Social Prescriber, Mental Health Worker, and Pharmacist
Main duties of the job
- 6 Sessions per week
- Working days - Tuesday, Thursday & Friday
- 14 Patients per clinic session
- Provide GP services to our patients
- Some on call duties
- No weekend/ OOH work
- Administrative work associated with patient care
- Some home visits, but very few as we utilise home visiting service we have access to
About us
We are a friendly team, who pride ourselves on the services we offer to the local community. Our patients have good access to appointments and services, our 'Friends and Family' Feedback is very positive each month.
Our clinical and non-clinical teams work closely to support each other in providing a high level, efficient service for our patients.
We have weekly GP meetings, monthly clinical team meetings, all staff training afternoons during in-house PLIs, periodic MDT meetings with wider services and quarterly staff socials outside of work to encourage and maintain our close knit team spirit!
We have 5 GP partners, 4 salaried GP's, 2 nurses, 2 HCAs, a clinical pharmacist, 2 FCP's, a mental health worker, social prescribers and a whole administrative/ secretarial and reception team to support you in your role.
Due to our geographic location in a valley on the outskirts of Sheffield, we still very much try and hold on to that 'local family GP service' feel for our patients.

Summary
To work as an autonomous
practitioner, responsible for the provision of medical services to the
practice population, delivering an excellent standard of clinical care whilst
complying with the PMS contract. Furthermore, the post-holder will adhere to
the GMC standards for good medical practice, contributing to the effective
management of the practice, leading by example, maintaining a positive,
collaborative working relationship with the multidisciplinary team.
Primary
Responsibilities
The
following are the core responsibilities of the salaried GP. There may be on
occasion, a requirement to carry out other tasks; this will be dependent upon
factors such as workload and staffing levels:
a.
The delivery of highly effective medical care to the
entitled population
b.
The provision of services commensurate with the PMS
contract
c.
Generic prescribing adhering to local and national
guidance
d.
Effective management of long-term conditions
e.
Processing of administration in a timely manner,
including referrals, repeat prescription requests and other associated
administrative tasks
f.
On a rotational basis, undertake telephone triage and
duty doctor roles
g.
Maintain accurate clinical records in conjunction with
good practice, policy and guidance
h.
Working collaboratively, accepting an equal share of the
practice workload
i.
Adhere to best practice recommended through clinical
guidelines and the audit process
j.
Contribute to the successful implementation of continuous
improvement and quality initiatives within the practice
k.
Accept delegated responsibility for a specific area (or
areas) or QOF
l.
Attend and contribute effectively to practice meetings as
required
m.
Contribute effective to the development and maintenance
of the practice including; clinical governance, training, financial
management and HR
n.
Ensure compliance with the appraisal process
o.
Prepare and complete the revalidation process
p.
Commit to self-learning and instil an ethos of continuing
professional development across the practice team

Support the training of medical students from all
clinical disciplines
r.
Support the partners in achieving the strategic aims of
the practice, making recommendations to enhance income and reduce expenditure

Review and adhere to practice protocols and policies at

Encourage collaborative working, liaising with all staff
regularly, promoting a culture of continuous improvement at all times
