Job summary
A position has arisen for an enthusiastic, motivated GP to join our well-established, high achieving practice.
The practice is a Semi rural, dispensing practice situated within the South Downs National Park in Hampshire covering approximately 80 square miles, within easy access to road/rail links and good local schools and colleges.
We are a forward thinking practice with consistent excellent patient feedback and satisfaction, operating from rented NHS premises. We also operate from a small branch surgery in the village of Hambledon.
- 4-5 Sessions per week
- CQC rating - Good
- 10500 patients (Personal Lists)
- EMIS Web computer system
- Part of Havant & Waterlooville (H&W) PCN Proactive in developing new local services
- 4 Partners + 2 Salaried GPs, Nurse Practitioner & excellent Nursing team

Main duties of the job
We are keen to maintain the Partnership Model and
continue to offer good quality, patient focused care, whilst developing our
services to accommodate the changes in General Practice and Primary Care, but
have grown sufficiently that we require an additional Salaried GP to join the
clinical team.
As part of Havant & Waterlooville PCN we are
able to provide a diverse mix of services including a Paramedic led home
visiting service, first contact physiotherapy, Mental Health support, Clinical
Pharmacists and a large Social Prescribing / Health and Well being team,
Dementia support services and are in the process of creating an Ageing Well
Team to help care for our most frail and vulnerable patients.
You would hold your own patient list, offering a mix of face to face and telephone consultations as well as occasional home visits when required (often in collaboration with the PCN home visiting service) - as well as completing administrative tasks attached to the health and well being of your patients.

- General Practitioner (Certificate of completion of training CCT)
- Full GMC Registration
- National Performers List registration
- Appropriate defence indemnity (MDDUS / MDU)
- Eligibility to practice in the UK independently
- Experience of working in a General Practice environment
- Experience or Continued Professional development
- Experience of QOF and clinical Audit
- General understanding of the GMS Contract
- Excellent level of clinical knowledge and skills commensurate with that of an experienced GP
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong IT skills
