Job summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Nurse to lead our team of both registered and unregistered nursing staff in the delivery of a first class regulated service to the patients registered within our practice.
As Nurse Lead you will have specific responsibilities in relation to management of the team but there will also be the opportunity to deliver front line nursing services, therefore the role requires a critical understanding of detailed practical and theoretical knowledge of primary care nursing.
Main duties of the job
To undertake this challenging and rewarding role, you will need to be an appropriately registered clinical practitioner who is able to communicate, liaise and interact effectively within the multi-professional team.
To lead this professional team you will need strong leadership and excellent organisational skills. Time management with the ability to prioritise your workload is essential for this role to succeed.
You must have the skills and knowledge to use Microsoft Office suite and clinical IT system, currently SystemOne, plus good written and verbal skills. An understanding of employment law, coaching and mentoring would be an advantage.
