Job summary

The primary role is in administration of the non-obstetric ultrasound service AQP in line with AQP contract and agreed practice protocols, whilst also providing administrative support and services to all members of the practice team. There will be a three day USS/two day admin split.

Main duties of the job

USS role:

  • Receive, monitor and record incoming referrals to the service via email or telephone
  • Prepare daily triage sheet and send to sonographer to action
  • Book appointments by letter/telephone and advise preparation detail
  • Process result reports following clinics and disseminate as appropriate
  • Enter data following all clinics into appropriate spreadsheet for billing
  • Answer dedicated service telephone, dealing with all queries
  • Regularly liaise with sonographers to ensure service requirements are being met i.e. images are downloaded, cleaning folders and audits are completed
  • Liaise with sites to ensure monthly room allocations are booked
  • Prepare monthly rotas
  • End of month invoicing and reporting to CCG
  • Check/authorise sonographer and room rental invoices
  • Stock control of service consumables
  • Undertake any other additional duties appropriate to the post as requested by the management team or the partners

Admin role:

You will be responsible for undertaking a wide range of administrative duties and the provision of general support to the multidisciplinary team.

About us

White Cliffs Medical Centre is based in a purpose built building just a short distance from Dover town centre and consists of two partners, four nurses, a nursing associate and two HCAs.

We also have a branch surgery in Shepherdswell, which is a dispensing practice.

We are a busy practice with a hardworking, dedicated and supportive team of reception/admin/dispensary staff, as well as our clinical team. We work closely with our Primary Care Network to deliver high standards of care to our patient population of around 9,700.

We have been rated good by the CQC.
